      BRIGADIER-GENERAL J. H. LLOYD
      Brigadier-General J. H. Lloyd, D.S.O., died at Queensbridge ,Ellesmere, Shropshire, on November 5.
      Born in 1872, son of the late Major J. H. Lloyd, R.A., he w as educatedat Wellington and at Sandhurst. From 1892 to 191 3 he was an officer ofThe King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancas ter), and he served throughoutthe last War, being awarded t he D.S.O. in 1919, retiring in that yearwith the rank of br igadier-general. In 1934-35 he was High Sheriff ofFlintshir e. He married, in 1900, Amy Oliver, daughter of Sir ThomasJ ackson, first baronet of Stansted, and had two sons and a d aughter.
