Had a tobacco farm in NC. He owed the bank money on the farm. When he went to pay it off, they wouldn't accept it. The bank then closed and took his farm. This prompted him to move he and his family to Lyons, Georgia.

According to his death certificate, Benjamin C. Bullock died on July 23, 1946, at 8:30 A.M., of "Carm---? of Prostrate", which he was reported to have had for one month, at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 21 days. Information was was provided by C. S. Bullock.

• Note: A photocopy of a Marriage Certificate for Benjamin Chafin Bullock and Sallie Meta Hunt indicates they were married at the home of her father, W. T. Hunt, on October 5, 1892. It is unclear whether V. A. Sharp was present at the wedding or the completion of the Marriage Certificate, which was produced at least four and perhaps many more years than that after the marriage date, as evidenced by the copyright date of 1896 at the bottom of the form and that the form was pre-printed to say One Thousand Nine Hundred ______, but the nine is crossed out and "eight" written over it.
