Mr. Simon Lipham
JACKSON - Mr. Simon C. Lipham, 78, of Fourth Street, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home, North Augusta, with the Rev. Philip Watry officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Lipham, a native of Lineville, Ala., had retired from E.I. DuPont Co. at SRP and was an Army veteran of World War II. He attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of Hopewell Masonic Lodge 127 Accepted Free Masons.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Reece Lipham; a daughter, Brenda Lipham, Corpus Christie, Texas; a stepson, Walt Reece, North Augusta; two stepdaughters, Peggy Willingham, Beech Island, and Debbie Curtis, Jackson; five brothers, Willis M. Lipham, Pell City, Ala., Herbert Lipham, Rome, Ga., Bobby J. Lipham, Florida, and John O. Lipham and Charles M. Lipham, both of Anniston, Ala.; and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ray Brown, John Prince, Bill Evans, Bill Whalen, Art Mims and Kenneth Ellis.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
