  • Note:
The following was contained in an e-mail from Brad Verity, batruth AT hotmail.com:

I have a note that Eleanor de Acton, widow of Sir Ralph Percy, died after 1498. Collins' Peerage was probably my source. Faris, in PA [Plantagenet Ancestry] 1st edition, has Eleanor married secondly to John Carlyle, with a daughter by him. If born about 1429, she would have been about age 35 when her first husband was killed, so still able to bear a daughter with the second husband. Faris also gives Eleanor three sons and a daughter by first husband Sir Ralph Percy, but only the daughter (Margaret Percy, wife of Ralph Harbottle) is named.
