Note: Mary Ellen Abrams Wilson, 90, of 5392 Hwy. 76 West, widow of Herchel W. Wi lson, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at her home.
Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Marion B. and Lizzie Balle ntine Abrams, was a homemaker and a member of Laurens First Presbyterian C hurch. She was a member of the choir, women of the church, Ladies Bible Cl ass and former youth leader and circle leader. Mrs. Wilson was also a memb er of the Ladies Auxiliary of Laurens County Hospital and the last survivi ng member of her immediate family.
Surviving are one son, Charles Marion Wilson and wife, Sherry, of Lauren s; one daughter, Marilyn W. Buchanan and husband, James, of Laurens; fi ve grandchildren, Kimberly and Jeff Barnett, Stacey McCraney, Meredith a nd Chris Liner, Charles Dean (Chad) Wilson, and James Bradley (Brad) Bucha nan; and six great-grandchildren, Reagan Brook McCraney, Lauren Parker McC raney, Connor Hayes Barnett, Wilson Cole Barnett, Christopher Cade Liner a nd Emma Kate Liner.
Private committal services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 200 7, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursd ay at Laurens First Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Marc Coker.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends after the mem orial service in the church.
