    Alexander received in 1704 by his father's will the plantation "Brandy" consisting of 300 acr es at the head of the Severn River, Anne Arundel Co., MD. From 1714 to 1718 he represented hi s Hundred in the Lower House of the General Assembly.

    Alexander's last will and testament was dated 21 Feb 1734, drawn in the presence of William S tevens, Richard Warfield Jr., Augustine Marriott, Silvanus Marriott, and Augustine Gambrill . He was not probated until 11 June 1740 in Anne Arundell Co., and reads in part:

    "TO daughters Rachel, Sarah and Katherine personalty.
    TO son Samuel 380 acres of "Bond's Discovery", 50 acres of "Warfield's Addition", and at hi s death to his sons, John and Samuel, but Sarah the wife of son Samuel was to have huse of i t during her widowhood.
    TO son Alexander the plantation on which he was living being part of "Venison Park" on the Pa tuxent, if he died without issue to pass to son Absolute.
    TO son Absolute the residue of "Venison Park" with the exception of 400 acres already made ov er to Edward and Philip.
    TO son Richard the dwelling-plantation at the death of his mother; he to be of age at 18 year s.
    TO wife Sarah one-third of the personal estate.
    Executors - wife Sarah and son Absolute."

    The inventory of the personal estate, appraised at 594/4/3, was filed at court by his execut ors, Sarah Warfield and Absolute Warfield, on 8 Aug 1740, with Richard Warfield and Samuel Wa rfield approving as the next of kin. Among the items were: violin; books; silver watch with s eale; six slaves; and gold ring. An account filed at court on 11 June 1743 displayed a balanc e of 605/3/9. To the widow, Sarah Warfield, was allotted 201/14/7; to Lancelot Todd who ha d married daughter Rachel 271/1/10; and the other children who received their whare were Ric hard, Sarah, and Catherine.
