    Alice (Stillman) Herrington 1846-1926

    Mrs. Alice Herrington was born in the town of Lima, Nov. 25, 1846, and died April 15, 1926, in Albion at the home of Mrs. Eliza Smith, who has tenderly and devoutly cared for her since last June.
    Mrs. Harrington was the daughter of William P. and Mary A. Stillman. She was united in marriage to Sylvester Herrington Jan. 21st, 1873, at Lima, and he preceded her in death 37 years ago.
    In early life she united with the Seventh Day Baptist church at Milton. Later she transferred her membership to the Milton Junction church, and remained a loyal member until her death.
    Mrs. Herrington is survived by two sons, William L., of Lima, and Chester D. of Milton Junction; one sister, Mrs. Ella Elphick of Whitewater, and two grandchildren, Rachel and Alice of Madison.
    Mrs. Herrington was a devoted mother and kind neighbor, and will be greatly missed by those who are left to mourn her loss.
    Funeral services were held last Sabbath afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Milton Junction S. D. B. church, with the Rev. J. L. Skaggs, pastor of the Milton S. D. B. church officiating. Burial was made in the Milton Junction cemetery.
    The pall bearers were James Herrington, John Patterson, Charles Hudson, Charles Brown, Harry Truman and Fred Hunt.
    Those from away who attended the funeral were: Frank Stillman, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Sol Herrington and son Ralph, Beloit; Geo. Herrington, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. James Herrington, Albion; besides many friends from Whitewater, Lima, Milton and Albion.
