    In the name of God Amen, the tenth day of December Anno Dm 1630, I Robert Potter of Newport Pagnell in the County of Buck weaver being weake in bodye, but of perfect remembrance (thanks be give to God therefore) Doe make and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner and form followinge, First I comend my soule into the handes of Almightie God my maker stedfastllie beleevinge that throught the morills of Jesus Christ his onelie sonne my saviour and redeemer I shall be partaker of the ioyes of heaven in the world to come.
    Item. I comend my bodie to the earth from whence it came,
    Item. I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife for long time as she shall keepe herselfe widowe, one halfe acre of meadow and one half acre of leyes situate and beinge withyin the parish of Newport Pagnell aforesaid hereafter specified to be bounded forth, that is to sale, In the west meadowe one halfe acres lienge next to the ground in the tenure of John Parker Esquire late ( ) on the one side, and the grounds of the said John Parker late Anne Steyes Freehold on the other side, and one halfe acres of Leyes Bienge upon short furlonge leyes next the grounde of the said John Parker late ( ) on the one side, and the grounde in the tenure of Jefferie Potter on the other side and afterwards I give the land unto John Potter my sonne and to his heirs and assigns for ever, if he paie to Nicholas Potter my sonne his exectors or assignes within ______ years next after the decease of the said Elizabeth my wife the full summe of ffouer poundes of lawfull English money which he nowe oweth unto the said Nicholas together with the interest thereof which shalbe then due, and in case he shall not paie to Nicholas Potter my sonne his executors or assignes, to the intent that he or they shall sell the land, and shall satisfie him or them the said debt and ( ), and my meaninge further is that the surplusage of the money ariseinge upon the sale of the said ground (if aine shalbe) shalbe paid unto the said John, his heires or assignes,
    Item I give and bequeathe unto the said Elizabeth my wife for longe time as she shall keepe herselfe widowe, one half acre of meadow and one halfe acre of leyes situate and being within the parish of Newport Pagnell, aforesid, which I purchased of Mr. William White, and afterwardes I give the same unto Nathaniell Potter my sonne and his heires and assigns fore evere.
    Item. I give and bequeath unto Marie Potter my daughter my best bedsteede one blankett and coverlett a flockbedd two paire of stools a boulster one pillow, my longe table in the haule a little forme two platters my worse coffer standinge at the bedds feete a box my great ketle a spitt and hobirons my penn and a brasse pott.
    Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Potter my daughter the bedsteede standinge in my chamber a matterise a boulster a pillow a blanket tow paire of stools a coverlaett the table in the chamber ?. Two platter a coffer without feete the brasse pann a midleinge beasse ketle and a brasse pott.
    Item I give and bequeath unto Susan Potter my daughter my bed steede standinge in th litle changer a feather bedd a blanett a coverlett two parrire of stools a boulster a pillow my cubbord a litle table stoole a joyned chhaire a buffett stools two platters my best chest standing in the chamber a paire of Andirons a brasse pott a litle longe ketle, one other ketle a chaffine dish and a saltinge trough that standeth in the buttreye, and my meaning is that my said wife shall have the rest of the said household stuffe formalie bequeathed for longe as she shall keepe herselfe widowe,
    Item I give unto everyone of my grandchildren xii d and my meaning further is that the fee ffar__ of my coppice fold lands shalbe granted unto the said Nicholas Potter and Robert Potter my sonnes and to their heirs and assigns or to such person of persons as they shall nnominate apointe,
    All the rest of my goods and chattels unbequeathed I give unto the said Elizabeth my wife whome I make sole executrix of this my will, also I doe hereby furstrate and make voide all the willes by formerlie made, Also I doe appoint my brother Jefferie Potter and my brother John Marshall overseers of this my last will in Witness wereof I have hereunto sett my hande and seale the daie and yeare first above written
