    HISTORY: He joined the LDS Church along with his wife, his six brothers, their
    wives, and their father in Richland Co, Ohio on May 23, 1836. (Ibid. letter).
    They gathered with the Saints in Kirland and were later with them in Missouri
    and Nauvoo, having a part in all the trials and afflictions of those dark days.
    George and Elizabeth arrived in Salt Lake City August 28, 1853 and
    went direct to Ogden. After two years they removed to what is now
    Wilson's Ward which was named in George's honor. George was a farmer
    and a prominent man in the upbuilding of the country. For many years
    he taught school. He served s President of the Quorum of Seventies and
    also a member of the Bishopric for many years. He was one of the men sent out
    by Brigham Young to bring in the famous Hand Cart Company. [This information was
    obtained from a brief history sent by Mildred Kunz.]
    In the book: Pioneers and Prominent Men of Utah, page 1253, mentioned above
    in sources, the arrival date into Utah was Aug. 29, 1853, and he, wife, and
    children were in the Daniel A. Miller company. After settling in Utah he
    assisted in bringing immigrants to Utah. He was a school teacher.

    COMMENTS: In 1870George had a household of three, with a real wealth of $600
    and a personal wealth of $200. George came to Utah on August 29, 1853 with
    Daniel A. Miller Company. George assisted in bringing immigrants to Utah.
