He did not name his wife and children.

Last will and testament. By the Grace of God Amen. Know all men by these present that I, Andrew Wood of Cole County, state of Missouri being very sick and low in body yet perfectly in my right mind do make
this my last will and testimony making all others null and void. Do make the following desposition of myself and my property. Last of all I resign my soul unto God who gave it and my body to the grave to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner.
    Secondly
"I will that all my just debts be paid out of my personal estate, then all my personal and real estate to remain in the hands and popesion(possession)of my wife. I will my wife one third of my land during her life time, then to go to my children, and I will that she have a child's part of my personal estate during her life time, and at such time the balance of my estate to be equally divided between my children. If before any one or more of them becomes of age the property to be placed in the hands of a gardein(guardian) chosen by them and appointed according to law provided also that my children be maintained by this my estate" Andrew(X his mark) Wood. Witnesses were Alexander Wood, William Walker and James Snodgrap(Snodgrass)

Andrew Wood and William Walker produced the will in court to Jason Harrison, clerk, who recorded it on 17 Dec 1832 in Jefferson City, Cole Co., MO. The will does not have a Probate Court certificate on it so evidently he must have had it recorded. (19 Judicial Circuit Court, Cole Co., MO)

    VERBAL FAMILY HISTORY:
Source: Joan Hurt & Melinda Pennington
Andrew Wood seemed pretty progressive when he wrote his will, stating that his children could pick their guardians when they were older. Jane Howard Wood raised that family and did a pretty good job. I also believe that Jane was a midwife. I found that Levi Wood's probate paid her for midwifing a slave of his. Also, Alamanza Wood Renfrow's daughter was a midwife.
