The nexus of this file is my grandfather, Clement Augustus Behra (1907-1990), whose father was born in southern Alsace and whose maternal grandmother was born in Lorraine. Everyone in this file is connected to him either by blood or by marriage.

4   iii. John Paul Backer was born 14 AUG 1912, was christened 18 AUG 1912 in Troy, Perry, IN. He married Jennie Theodora Brenner 30 JUN 1936 in Tell City, Perry, IN.
