From one Tiny Acorn there sprang forth a mighty Oak Tree. This Tree contains many Smothers and Families that are not directly related to me. In my research I have found that there has not been a significant amount of research done on many of the families and it is my hope that my research may be helpful to those who are interested in their ancestors also.

Airy, Randolph County, Missouri. He married Elizabeth Logan 3 MAR 1804 in Garrard County, Kentucky, daughter of Timothy Logan and Sarah Sally Boone. She was born ABT 1785 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died BEF 1845 in Randolph County, Missouri. She was buried in Hurt Cemetery, Mt. Airy, Randolph County, Missouri.

 3  ii.Hugh Alexander was born ABT 1809 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died ABT 1873 in Schuyler County, Missouri. He married Sally Finnell 5 JAN 1836 in Howard County, Missouri.
 4  iii.Mary Alexander was born 15 JAN 1812 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died 3 OCT 1869 in Randolph County, Missouri. She married James Goodman 14 NOV 1833 in Randolph County, Missouri. He was born 7 AUG 1812 in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and died 6 MAR 1887 in Randolph County, Missouri.
 5  iv.Lucinda Alexander was born ABT 1815 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died in Randolph County, Missouri.
 6  v.James Rice Alexander was born ABT 1817 in Garrard County, Kentucky. He married Martha Martin.
 7  vi.Samantha Alexander was born ABT 1821 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died BEF 1869 in Macon County, Missouri. She married Washington Lobban.
 8  vii.Elizabeth Serilda Alexander was born 5 MAR 1822 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died 28 JUN 1904 in Plains, Montanta. She married Neptune Lynch , Jr. 13 NOV 1845 in Randolph County, Missouri. He was born in Irleand.
 9  viii.John Alexander was born 13 FEB 1807 in Garrard County, Kentucky, and died 16 OCT 1891 in Randolph County, Missouri. He married Martha Patsy Rice 24 FEB 1847 in Randolph County, Missouri, daughter of Nathaniel Rice and Anne Uzzell. She was born 1828 in Sumner, Tennessee, USA, and died 16 OCT 1858 in Randolph, Missouri, USA. He married Charity Evaline Denny 28 APR 1863 in Howard County, Missouri, daughter of James Denney and Elizabeth Best. She was born 6 JUL 1823 in Howard County, Missouri, and died 1908.
