This database was drawn from the book, History of DuPage County, Ill. edited by Rufus Blanchard, 1882. There were 2 sets of page numbers used in the original edition, so I labeled the biographical one "B" and the front section "A". I tried to document the pages where the families were mentioned, except for the military lists. I made very few corrections, such as spelling changes for my own families. I hope this helps people who are out of the area and could not get access to the book otherwise.

1. Jacob CLAPSADDLE (George A CLAPSADDLE², Andrew CLAPSADDLE¹) was born 20 MAY 1808 in German Flats, Herkimer County, NY. He married Sally E TERBENING 14 JUL 1831 in Herkimer County, NY, daughter of Peter I TERBENING and Elizabeth BROWN. She was born 3 OCT 1814 in Herkimer County, NY.

Children of Jacob CLAPSADDLE and Sally E TERBENING are:

2   i. Kelburn CLAPSADDLE.

3   ii. Jerome CLAPSADDLE.

4   iii. Harriet CLAPSADDLE. She married Hiram KELSEY.

5   iv. Sophia CLAPSADDLE.

6   v. Jacob P CLAPSADDLE.

7   vi. George A CLAPSADDLE.

8   vii. Mary E CLAPSADDLE. She married Horace RICHARDSON, son of William RICHARDSON and Susan MARTIN.

9   viii. Elvie CLAPSADDLE. She married James STEVEN.
