    In the 1901 census Sylvester resided at 6 Birch Street
    occupation dock labourer. On his marriage certificate he puts his fathers occupation down as a flannel manufacturer, and that he came from Kilkenny it also points to the fact that Sylvester is also mentioned on other certificates as Cushing. Anastatia and Patrick appear to have been born before the marriage.
