    Catherine was from Cleveland, Ohio. In the book, "The Sisters" by Kaufman which tells about the lives of Dr Harvey Williams Cushing's three daughters, Katherine Stone Crowell, their mother, was power hungry and a social climber, but was barely mentioned therein.
