In 1813 Henry bought a tract of land along Beaver Creek, in Beaver Township, and built a combined sawmill and grist mill in 1815 and 1817 respectively. The grist mill was used for at least manufacturing flax seed oil. The mill is at Blairs Corners. Henry and Sarah lived on the third floor of the mill, and Sarah ran the mill while Henry cleared the land and built the house, [which still stands and which is occupied by decendant Scott Apel as of 1994.] (Source: Taken from the history of the Erie Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Volume No. 2, written by Rev. J.N. Fradenburgh, and published for him by the Derrick Publishing Co. in 1907, and as rewritten in the typewritten notes of Theodore Henry Myers, 1977.)

Title: Email from Sarah to Win Apel Author: Sarah Publication: October 19, 1997 Text: Win,
Hi; you wrote to me about the Myers family several weeks ago, too, and I'm just now replying -- sorry it's taken me so long. This is definitely my family; in fact, I got a lot of my information from a pedigree on World Family Tree CD #3 that you submitted (I got your name and address from the WFT Sumbitter Information Service and had been planning to write to you myself one fo these days!).
I have George Myers and Elizabeth Singree as my 7th great-grandparents, and their son, Henry, married Mary Sarah Stroble. Their daughter, Henrietta, married Thomas Washington Mays, and the two of them were my 5th great-grandparents. I don't have much more than this, really. Do you know anything else about Elsie Singree? I noticed on your tree that Henrietta's husband is George Mayes; where did you get that name, and would you happen to know anything more about the Mays or Mayes family?
I hope to hear from you, Sarah
