!NOTES: In 1857-58, the Carondelet (MO) Census Book (Carondelet at that time being part of South Saint Louis County, and now a part of South Saint Louis City), lists the family as Franz, 21; Elizabeth, 55, Rosine Biederich, 5 (This is actually a child of Charles Diedrich, and a step-child of Amalia.) Dorothea, 19, and Andreas, 10. Barbara Kunkel, now Ruprecht, is listed later on with husband Joseph Ruprecht, and children, Louise, 3, and Joseph, 10 months.
