Civil War Records of Cherokee Co.: Pensions Vol. 2, p. 88 gives a synopsis of Mrs. Sallie Sylvester's Widow's Pension application and adds that marriage records indicate she married E. M. Sylvester on 1 March 1885 (that info is NOT in the pension application BTW. Maybe they filed for the license on 28 Feb but actually married on 1 March.

Caison-Heath Cemetery, last entry. The Young lady that sent in the additions on the Cemetery also noted that the name was spelled Nicy Ann on the marker.
!NOTES: He was a Mason. He was buried in the Caison-Heath Cemetery in Rusk County, Texas. This old abandoned cemetery is located in the Pleasant Grove Community near the Cherokee County line. It is south of Highway 79 towards Lake Striker. Turn off a dirt road into the woods. Larkin Caison and wife Sarah Stubblefield Caison came about 1839 from Tennessee, and Sarah's grave bears the earliest death date 1861.
