Born Feb 13, 1891, Heber City, to Joseph Heber and Alice M. Michie Lambert. She lived in Heber until about 1908 when she moved with her family to Roosevelt. Her father had opportunity to homestead property in the newly opened Uintah Basin area.
She attended school in Heber, graduating from 8th grade with the highest grade in the county on the state exam. She later attended the Uintah Stake Academy at Vernal, Brigham Young University, and University of Utah. She also studied from several other schools by correspondance.
She taught school in Millard, Duchesne and Uintah counties, being principal and teaching all eight graded at Abraham and Midview schools.
She married Ruben C. Snyder on Jun 30, 1926, at Vernal, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in Manti Temple on July 13, 1932. Folling their marriage, they made their home on a farm 5 miles west of Myton. The original home which her husband built was destroyed by fire in 1959. They rebuilt on the same property. In 1970 the farm and home were sold and they moved to Neola.
During the years her children were in school, she taught school periodically to supplement the farm income and help provide for her children?s college training. Some of this time she was away from home all week, just coming home on weekends.
