NOTE: pg.305 - The history tells us that the Capron's were mainly farmers. It states that Oliver was the son of Col. Oliver, who was from Richmond, but died in Swanzey. He was fourth generation from Banfield of Cumberland. He was the father of nine children, and outlived all but two of his eight daughters and one son.
