Death of Tunbridge Man Cornelius Tucker, Elderly Man, Had Had Operation
Cornelius Tucker, elderly Tunbridge resident, passed away at the City hospital here last evening at 9:30 o?clock. He underwent an operation at the institution last week for the amputation of a leg. His death is attributed to gangrene resulting from infection of the leg. Mr. Tucker was born on May 24, 1856 the son of Mary (Durkee) and Rufus Tucker. He passed practically all of his life in Tunbridge following the occupation of a farmer. He was well known and highly respected in the community. Mr. Tucker was married several times. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Tucker, two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Pratt of Windsor, Mrs. Louise Fogg of Mascoma, NH, three sons, George Tucker of Montpelier, Augustus Tucker of Dover NH and Allen Tucker of Tunbridge. He also leaves a number of grandchildren. The remains were taken to Tunbridge today by Bethel undertakers and funeral services will be held from his home.

Tunbridge ..... Mr. Tucker was for a long time a resident of Tunbridge and had many friends in town. The funeral was held at the church in North Tunbridge Friday afternoon.... Burial was in the family lot near South Royalton.
