Note: Mrs. J. C. Sharp - Emma, wife of Jack C. Sharp, died at her home near the south city limits Thursday evening at 10:30 o'clock. She had not been ill but had complained of headaches and dizziness during the day. She retired early and experienced difficulty in breathing, so stepped out to the porch to see if fresher air would help her. While there she called to her husband that she was going, and died shortly after she had been carried into the house by her son; and a physician summoned. The cause of death was pronounced embolism of the lungs. Emma McGibbons was born at Rochester, Vermont April 17 1864, and reached the age of 55 years, 1 month and 19 days. She came west 29 years ago and a year later was married at Grantsburg to Jack C. Sharp. They resided at Amery and and Strickland, then moved to Rice Lake twenty years ago. A year ago they moved to a farm near the city limits. Three children were born to them: Roy, Owen and Florence. Mrs. Sharp was of a very quiet disposition but had many friends among her neighbors. Funeral services will be held from her home, Wednesday afternoon, awaiting arrival of a sister from New York state. Rev. E L. Cooper will officiate and interment will be made at Orchard Beach cemetery.
