Vero Beach Fla. ? Lloyd Sharpe Tucker, 86, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at VNA Hospice House while surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Woodstock, Vt., the son of Albert and Ruby (McLaughlin) Tucker.
He attended school in Woodstock and served as a Combat Engineer for the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Eva (Rameor) Tucker in 1959 and together they raised four daughters in Enfield, N.H. He worked as a toolmaker for Thermal Dynamics (Thermadyne) for 17 years and moved to Vero Beach to enjoy retirement in 1994. He was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Vero Beach.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Villeneuve , five brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Eva of Vero Beach; daughters, Joan Aldrich (Wayne) of LaBelle, Fla., Susan Estes (Raymond) of Canaan, N.H. and Mary Tyler of Enfield, N.H.; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
This spring a memorial service and inurnment will take place in Woodstock, Vt. Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lowtherfuneralhome.com.
