Kello James "Running Antelope" Kipp, 35, passed away December 31, 2008 in Browning.
Funeral Mass was Wednesday, Jan 7, at 2 p.m. at the Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial with military honors followed in Willow Creek Cemetery. Pondera Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Kello was born January 8, 1973. The late Carl A Kipp and Barbara Juneau Kipp are his adoptive parents. He was raised by his mother and father, Kay Kipp Higgins and James A Higgins.
He has many nieces and nephews and cousins whom he grew-up with. Kello graduated from Browning High School in 1991. During his young life he would dance at celebrations to entertain his Grandfather Carl and Grandmother Barb. He participated in sports all of his life and excelled in basketball, football, track, and cross-country.
Kello joined the Marines upon graduation. He had many life experiences traveling the world. He received recognition awards and commendations while in the U.S. Marines. He was very proud to be a Marine.
He married Merita Omeasoo and had two beautiful children, Nickolas James and Hilary Ann. They were truly the love of his life. Kello and Merita later separated.
Kello's children and family were very important to Kello. Throughout his life, he had many good close friends. We all loved Kello because he had such a kind heart, always willing to help no matter what. His beautiful smile, his kind words about other people, and sense of humor will be missed. He liked to hunt, fish, camp, hike, swim, go sledding at Grampa Dennis', hang out with his kids and family, and make and play Traditional Games.
Survivors include his parents, James A Higgins and Kay Kipp Higgins; children Nickolas James and Hilary Ann; brothers John Carl (Rita) Higgins, Phillip A (Lynn) Higgins, George P (Jenny) Higgins, Thomas K (Abby) Higgins, and Brandon James Higgins; sister, Whisper Higgins; godchildren, Noel, Chad, and Chelsy Higgins; uncle and aunts, Carl (DeeAnn) Kipp Jr, Carol Kipp, Herb and Phyllis Kipp Gilham (his godmother), Jim and Billie Jo Kipp, George G. Kipp IV, and Scott and Rona Kipp. Survivors are all from Browning.
Kello will never be forgotten. His time in our lives cannot be replaced; our lodge will forever hold a place in the family.
God bless all who knew and loved our son, brother, and father, Kello James Kipp Running Antelope.
