assignments with him, and the answer he received was from a pastor in
Ellensburg. The family moved in 1900. [Ellensburg Methodist history lists John
Hanks as pastor only 1900-1902];

on her Husband's Hanks ancestry. Her own ancestry in filed in the library
elsewhere in a notebook under the surname CHILDERS;

GOOD: W.Forsythe posted the Childers sisters' compilation because those results
were the most difficult ancestral linkages I've ever personally experienced
someone discovering by perseverance. Most of their ancestors in the colonial
south were so dirt poor that they never owned land; so the family linkages were
discovered e.g. by stock brand records etc. of what ear notches meant the horse
was owned by which poor farmer. I (Forsythe) wrote a colonial article in
National Genealogical Society Quarterly 84 (1996): 182-199, but some of the
Childers sisters' research is way beyond the family difficulties I ever faced;
