I do not think this marriage produced any children.

Birth is calculated from death record in Kent County. The 1850 census states she was '3' so I am not quite sure which is accurate. The 1900 census states her month of birth as December.

Jesse and Mary Bailey have two other individuals living with them, Arthur Stevens aged 25 born in Ohio and Sarah Hanover aged 22 born in IN.

Mary Bailey aged 30 is living alone and has occupation of seamstress. I could not locate Jesse Bailey in 1880.

1900: Grand Rapids ward 2, second precinct, Kenty County, Michigan ED 50, sheet 4 Ancestry image #8 other townships ed 50 William is living in the household of his daughter Mary E. Bailey. He lists his year on immigration as 1818.

From the Grand Rapids Herald, Saturday 14 Nov 1908:

Mrs. Mary E. Bailey
Mrs. Mary E. Bailey of 91 Bostwick street died Friday morning from Bright's disease, aged 59 years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Pilgrim Temple Baptist Church of Chicago, from which city she moved to Grand Rapids about 12 years ago. She was for several years head nurse at the Womans Home and Hospital on Bostwick street. She had a wide acquaintance (sic) among the nurses and physicians of the city and had always been active in philanthropic work.
She leaves two brothers, Joel Perry of Evart, Mich., and J. E. Perry of Oshkosh, Wis.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment at Big Rapids, Mich.

From The Big Rapids Pioneer Saturday 14 Nov 1908:

The remains of Mrs. M. E. Bailey will be brought here Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and will be taken direct to the cemetery.
