Joel Perry was probably the most successful of William Perry's children. He became a land speculator and there are many, many deed entries all through the deed books of Mecosta County for Joel. From the "Portrait and Biographical Album of Mecosta County, Chapman Brothers 1883" page 496 mentions Joel Perry in a biographical sketch of his business partner Charles H. Crane. 1
Place of birth as well as day and date comes from obit.

Mary Perry is listed as a widow living in the household of her son in law, Jacob VanDonselaar and her daughter Ethel.
Joel Perry must die between the 1910 and 1920 census. I have already checked Genesee County death register with negative results so it leaves me to believe that Joel must die in Kalamazoo County.
Kalamazoo County Death Record Book 1927, record # 305. Record mentions father Wm Perry born England, Ann Fox born NY.
