  • Note: She is a 76-year-old widow on the 1880 census, living next door to her son Caleb. In her household are a "daughter" Henrietta (26 years old -- was Elizabeth really 50 when she gave birth to Henrietta?), and a grandson named John Odom, 2. I have no other evidence of a daughter named Henrietta; she might in fact be a daughter-in-law (although she is listed as single on the census).

    • Note: The 1840 census indicates several older children to this couple. (I have not found this family on the 1850 census.) In 1860, there is an apparent granddaughter, Elizabeth Odom, age 2, in the household, but no clue as to who her father is.
