Name: Aaron OTT 1 2
Birth: 1815 in Mississippi 1
The evidence for Aaron belonging to the family of Mrs Mary Ott is weaker than for the other children of that family. On the 1860 census for Amite County, Mississippi, he and his wife Sarah are listed in the household of Daniel W. Fenn, who looks to be Sarah's younger brother. The Fenn connection may be a coincidence, but the fact that Elizabeth Jane Ott also married a Fenn from the same area suggests that she and Aaron were siblings.
Aaron's age is 45 on the 1860 census, and 81 (born in August 1819) on the 1900.
I don't know of any descendants of Aaron and Sarah, or indeed of any evidence for them apart from the 1860 and 1900 censuses. In fact, the 1900 census says both Aaron and Sarah were single.
There was a John Aaron Ott who served in Company G of the 9th Louisiana Infantry during the Civil War. He is buried in the Topisaw Cemetery in Lincoln County, Mississippi; but his birthdate is shown as 14 Sept 1829 (and death date 10 April 1904).
