Caroline Louise Kietzman nee Bock, the daughter of Gustave Bock and Wilhelmina nee Heidemann, was born on Noveber 5, 1888, in the Templin community near Alta Vista, and departed this life at St. Francis hospital in Topeka on August 9, 1953, having attained the age of 64 years, 9 months and 4 days.
She was received into the kingdom of God's grace by the sacrament of Baptism on November 23, 1888, at Templin, Kansas. On March 31, 1901, she became a communicant member of the Lutheran Church by the solemn rite of confirmation at Templin.
She was united in marriage with Mr. Herbert Kietzman at Templin on March 18, 1913. This union was blessed with three daughters, Leota, Irma and Arlene. Their entire maried life was spent on a farm near Alta Vista. She was preceded in death by her husband, who was called to his eternal rest on September 3, 1949. During the past three years, Mrs. Kietzman had established her residence in Alma.
She leaves to mourn her departure, three daughters, Mrs. Leota Williams of Topeka, Mrs. Irma Stuewe of Wichita and Mrs. Arlene Fink of Greeley, Colorado; one brother, Gustav Bock, of Briggsville, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gladow, Mrs. Hulda Fink and Mrs. Otillie Maike, all of Alma; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
