He that planteth a tree is the servant of God,
He provideth a kindness for many generations,
And faces that he hath not seen shall bless him.

Marriage 1 Thomas Henry b: Abt 1719 in Northern Ireland
    • Married:
    • Note: The children listed here are assumed to be the children of Thomas and Isabella Henry. Some sources suggest that Thomas Henry married Martha Shields in Mecklenburg Co., NC in 1764, and still other sources have referred to the bride as Martha Isabella Shields. If this is correct, then this marriage was probably the second for both Thomas and Isabella, a possibility supported by a grouping of children born beginning with Robert Henry in 1765 and continuing into the mid-1770s, when Thomas was in his 50s and Isabella was in her 40s. The possibility certainly exists that Thomas had (during an earlier marriage) another household in the area of Beatty's Ford (one possible child being James Henry, b. abt. 1755, who married Dorcas Henry and had sons named Thomas and William).
