Barnell is survived by his father, Barnell Stidham; mother, Betty (David) Montoya; grandparents, Carlos and Alice Zaragosa; son, Tavaris Stidham; brothers and sisters, Afro Stidham, Jeanette Stidham, Cecily Vigil, David Montoya and Bobby Franklin; special friend, Sherrie Lucero; godparents, Gilbert Orlando Martinez and Adela Cunningham; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents, Piedad and Paulino Rivera; brother, Danny Rivera; and special uncle, Curtis Stidham. Barnell graduated from Widefield High School, class of 1985. He served in the Persian Gulf War with the Navy. He also was an avid Colts fan. Barnell enjoyed his family and had a special love for his grandmother, Alice Zaragosa. Visitation, 2 to 5 p.m. today, Oct. 12, 2006, Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
