    Riley Stidham was probably the Riley Stacy listed in the 1900 Lewis Co., Kentucky census with stepfather, Manuel Stapleton and mother, Mary, and probably the son of Allen Reason [744] Stidham. Circumstantial evidence:
    (1) Riley Stacy and Riley Stidham were both born c1885.
    (2) In the Stapleton household in 1900, William [1664] Stidham was listed as a boarder. His mother, Mahala Stacey, was possibly the sister of Mary Stapleton.
    (3) Riley Stidham had a son, Reason (named after his grandfather?)
    (4) Allen Reason [744] married Mary Moore in 1892 at about age 27, certainly old enough to have been married before. (Notwithstanding the fact Allen was listed as married once in the 1910 census.)
    (5) Mary Stapleton married Manuel Stapleton about 1890 at about age 25, certainly old enough to have been married before.
