OBITUARY: Blaine Stidham, 89, of Blanchester, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2009) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. He is survived by his wife, Marie Osborne Stidham of Blanchester. They were married for 62 years. Mr. Stidham was born Dec. 2, 1919, in Hyden, Ky., son of the late Jess Stidham and Bell Wooton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Ruth (Robert) Eckert of Blanchester, Marlin Stidham of Lexington, Ky., Elbert (Debra) Stidham of Cincinnati, Brenda Kay (Marconi) Smith of Georgetown, Donald Stidham of Goshen, Sharon Sumner of Blanchester and Ada (Ronald) Keith of Blanchester; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Dickerson of Hazard, Ky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debra Stidham; two brothers; and a sister. Funeral services will be held noon Monday at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Brother Estel Hall officiating, with burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, 45206.
