NO PROOF HENRY STIDUM WAS THE SON OF ISAAC [299] STIDHAM. THE CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE IS:
(1) Isaac [492] Stidham, the son or nephew of Isaac [299] Stidham, went to Hancock Co., Kentucky and Ohio Co., Kentucky, the same areas were Henry Stidum lived. In 1860 they were neighbors in Fordsville, Ohio County.
(2) Isaac [492] Stidham apparently changed his surname to STIDUM, which is the way it is spelled in the 1850 and 1860 census. Two of his daughters used the STIDUM surname when they were married.
(3) Isaac [492] Stidham/Stidum and his wife are buried in Fordsville, Kentucky, 3 miles from where Henry Stidum?s family lived.
(4) Henry Stidum was born in Tennessee. Isaac [299] Stidham lived in Tennessee before and/or after 1816, the only Alabama Stidham know to have lived in Tennessee.
Henry [490a] Stidum and Isaac [492] Stidum were probably brothers or cousins. They spelled their name similarly, and lived in the same area in Kentucky.

DEATH: who wrote "This is to certify that I treated Mr. Stidom from March the 20th 1891 to Apr the 2nd 1891 when he died from Bronchil Phneumonia and lung trouble. My Act is $27. Dr. W. R. Howard, Lilly Dale, Ind. Perry Co. Nov. the 26th 1891."

MILITARY: Enlisted Oct. 5, 1861 at Camp Anderson in Co. E, 3rd. Regiment, United States Kentucky Calvalry. Discharged 26 May 1862 at Cornith, Mississippi. He applied for a pension due to "loss of left leg at the knee, loss of sight in right eye and total deafness."
