James Howard StIdham and family are listed on Line 1390 1850 Census of Carroll Co, Ga. vol 2. I believe that James Howard StIham is the brother of Adam Stidham found in the 1850 census, page 21 Carroll Co, Ga. and page 38, 1860 census Haralson Co. Ga. One of Adams children (Dennis) married Frances Stidham (his 1st cousin) and daughter of Z. George StIdham. We think that Frances went to live with Adam's family .The 1850 census list the name as Steadham but all other records and census list the name as Stidham.
