OBITUARY: Tilda Stidams, 88, died Sunday at 12:30 a.m. at her residence. She was born March 6, 1921 in Oneida, Ky., to Wesley Blaine and Sylvani (Stewart) Davidson. She lived in Oneida, Ky., for approximately 18 years and moved to Salem in 1940. She lived in the Goshen/North Webster area ever since. She wintered in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and retired from Syracuse rubber as an inspector. She was affiliated with Wawasee Lakeside Chapel. She married Delbert Stidams Feb. 27, 1937. He died in 1997. She is survived by eight sons, Joe (Mary) Stidams and Carl (Pam) Stidams, both of West Monroe, La., Don (Sandy) Stidams, Columbus, Ohio, Delbert Jr. (Donna) Stidams, Oregon, Brad Stidams and Dale (Sherry) Stidams, both of Larwill, George (Joanne) Stidams, North Webster, and Wayne (Tracy) Stidams, Michigan; six daughters, Louise (Dallas) Wakley, Goshen, Vannie Swinheart, Warsaw, Patricia (Kevin) Koher and Billy (Dan) May, both of North Webster, Kellie (John) Sicks, Pierceton, and Liza (Larry) Jones, Syracuse; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons; a daughter; and a great-granddaughter. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse. The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Harlan Steffen will lead the service. Burial will take place at North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is assisting with arrangements.
