    OBITUARY: Mr. Larry Eugene Stidham, 61, of Gordon Thomas Rd., Morganton, Ga., died Monday, June 23, 2008 in the Peachtree Christian Hospice [Duluth, Georgia] following an extended llness. Mr. Stidham was born Oct. 16,1946 in Franklin County, Alabama, the son of Zora Mae Kelly Stidham and the late Henry [4694] Stidham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army of the Vietnam war. Larry was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather and was a friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Stidham. Mr. Stidham was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Stidham is his loving wife of 24 years, Marie Davis Stidham; mother, Zora Mae Kelly Stidham of Hamilton, Alabama; children, Christopher and Beth Stidham of Commerce, Georgia., Dana and David Parker of Gainesville, Bret and Jennifer Clark of Gainesville, Thad Clark of Hilton Island, South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Juanell Stidham of Bear Creek, Alabama, Charles and Jenny Stidham of Hackelburg, Alabama; sister, Bobbie Sue Parker of Hamilton, Alabama; grandchildren, Leslie, Savannah and Christen Stidham, Jonathan Parker, Lanie, Natalie and Andrew Clark; many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Luther Thomas officiating. Special music was presented by Luther Thomas. Pallbearers were Scott Gibson, Todd and Jason Fettinger, Jonathan Parker, Shane and Ronnie Stidham. Interment followed in the Coosa United Methodist Church Cemetery [Blairsville, Georgia].
