OBITUARY: Columbia ? A memorial service for William ?Bill? Curns Stidom, 80, will be held Sunday, July 10, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Bayview Baptist Church in Columbia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Bayview Baptist Church, 5300 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204 or the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Stidom died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, June 10th, in Palmetto Richland Cancer Center with his family at his side. He was married for 53 years to Reva Alberta Cook Stidom, who predeceased him in 2003. Born December 18, 1924, in Sciotoville, Ohio, he was the youngest son of the late Ellis Ballard Stidom and Lucy Clevenger Stidom. Two brothers predeceased him, Oveland Stidom and Bernus Stidom. Mr. Stidom was a decorated veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific with the United States Navy. He was a retired district manager of Greyhound Bus Lines. He was a long-standing member of Bayview Baptist Church and the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. Surviving are his three sons and three daughters-in-law, William G. Stidom and Lynn J. Stidom of West Columbia, Thomas E. Stidom and Patricia B. Stidom of Columbia, and Allen Jeffrey Stidom and Brenda H. Stidom of Columbia; eight grandchildren, William T. Stidom, Michael B. Stidom, William G. Stidom, II, Steven E. Stidom, Anne S. Bass, Ann Evans, Ann H. Ables and Susan H. Fulmer; four great-grandchildren, Chandler A. Ables, Matthew W. Ables, Kaleb N.
