    NOTE: Ray [1646] and Nellie Stidham's four sons were residents of an orphanage in Ohio sometime during the latter 1920's & early 1930's. Nellie put them in the orphange because Ray was in and out of the Veterans Hospital,and Nellie was unemployeed. She thought she could take the boys out of the orphanage when things got better, but the orphanage would not release them. Ralph eventually ran away, lied about his age, and joined the Navy. ref.
