OBITUARY: Arthur Franklin "Ott" Stidam, 88, of Wallingford passed away Monday Feb. 13, 2006. Mr. Stidam was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was born in Lewis County on Sept. 8, 1917. His parents were the late William and Rose Stidam. Mr. Stidam is survived by his wife of 64 years, Goldie Jewell Howell Stidam of Wallingford; one daughter, Angela (Bill) Compton of Wallingford; one son, Marvin (Charlotte) Stidam of Connersville, Ind.; two sisters, Nora Hester of Fleming County and Lois McRoberts of Flemingsburg. Also survived by six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Hensley Dunaway; a brother, Dick Stidam and an infant son and daughter. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Herbie Stallard and Brother Jim Porter officiating. Burial in the Esham Cemetery in Lewis County with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post and the V.F.W. Post of Flemingsburg. (The Ledger Independent, Maysville, Kentucky, 14 Feb 2006.)
