OBITUARY: Funeral services for Frona Stidham Cook, 85, of Sandlick, KY, were held February 6, 2008 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Whitesburg, KY. Mrs. Cook was a daughter of the late Milard and Fannie Goins Lucas. She died February 3, 2008 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, KY. She is survived by her husband, Jethro Cook; three sons, Danny Stidham, Virginia; Larry Stidham, Isom, KY; and Gary Stidham, Corbin, KY; six daughters, Helen Campbell, Dry Fork, KY; Mildred Desoteaux, Florida; Alice Polly and Claudetta Proffit, both of Tennessee, Susan Williams, Kingscreek, KY; and Bonnie Holbrook, Mayking, KY; a brother, Milard Lucas, Camp Branch, KY; a sister, Susan Kiser, Indiana; 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
