OBIT: From The Fayetteville Observer: June 15, 1950 Recent Deaths in Lincoln County Leroy Little Cole passed away at his home near Taft, May 30, 1950, aged 73 years and 5 months, was born in Lincoln County and moved away to Limestone County, Ala. when a child, with his parents Shelby Cole and Mary Baggerly Cole. He moved back to Taft 23 years ago. Mr. Cole was a farmer and a man of highest type citizenship and friend to all. He joined the Baptist Church 53 years ago but he became so interested in God's cause that he laid aside denominational doctrine and prayed for all people to see Jesus as he should be seen, in all his purity and that parents would look after their children as Christian parents should. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Fannie Carpenter Cole; one brother, Samuel Cole; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. J. B. Cole and Mrs. W. B. Cole; a number of nephews and nieces, also several cousins and a host of friends. Pallbearers are; Claude Carlos, Bert, Homer and Josh Cole and Frank Tucker.
