  • Note:
    My GGGGF was Washington Shaw (b.1810 in MS) who migrated from the area of Bellefontaine, Mississippi (Choctaw County, I believe) in the late 1860's to Texas. He was married to Nancy Tolleson Harvey (b.in Spartanburg County, South Carolina). They were affiliated with the family of James L. McKee, who came with them to Texas (Houston County) at thesame time. Wash was shown in the 1870 Texas Census in Houston County,along with a Lucretia Shaw (b.1833 in AL).

    1850 US Census you will find Elias's children at that time living with these three. Elias may have been elsewhere at that time since he was between wives.
