"Ted was a rogue and hell raiser, so I have beard from others. He was married to C.W. Lee Jr's, wife's older sister. One interesting story about Uncle Ted was a reunion he attended with Gramp Lee, Uncles Matt and Day Eiland. The four of them approached an old man sitting on the square smoking his pipe. Uncle Ted asked the old man if he knew who he was. The old timer replied no. After much prompting by Uncle Ted the old man still said no. Uncle Ted than asked, 'Who was the meanest kid ever raised in these parts?' The old man pulled his pipe out of his mouth and replied, 'Are you Ted Lee?'. " from Melvin Spencer
