    1 February 1735 Sussex County Albemarle Parish Records, "Martha, daughter of Hugh and Elizabeth Ivie (sic) christene d 1 Feb. 1735. Albemarle Parish Records, Sussex County, Virginia.

    Bef. 1754 Marriage to Frederick ?Fadda? Jarrett

    1754Sussex County Loose Court Papers, 1754 -1870, Bill of Complaint from Chancery Cause, Ivey vs. Ivey: "Martha Jarrett , formerly Ivey, another sister of the said testator and she intermarried iwth a certain Fadda Jarrett." This suit wa s over estate settlement regarding her brother Richard who died without issue, unmarried and intestate.

    1 Oct 1780 Martha and her family are still living in Sussex County, Virginia
    Fada Jarrot (sic), of Sussex County, VA deeded to Jesse Jarrott (sic) of same on 1 October 1780, 276 acres fro 200 poun ds, VA, on N side of Black Swamp, joining Mirey Branch, Pettaway Johnson, Tomlinson Meadow, Wits: () Gary, Howell Under hill, Games Gilbert 20 June 1782. John Cocks, Clerk. "Original deed , John Jarrot by direction of James B. Jarrett, 1 1 August 1803" indicated in note. Son of his son, Jesse, was named James Bell Jarrett.     1784Martha Ivey Jarrad (sic) signed a deed of sale:
    December of 1784, Fadda Jarrad, of Sussex County, VA deeded to Richard Cotton 275 acres which was part of a patent to F adda Jarrett in 1773, joining Peebles' Meadow, John Garey, Frederick Andrews, Robbins's Branch, Black Swamp. This wa s also signed by his wife, Martha Jarrad.

    1785The Frederick Jarrett family moved to Wilkes County, Georgia and settled on Kettle Creek. 'Fadde Jarrod' appeare d on the 1785 Wilkes County Tax record. (source: Claire Sappington Schmidt). In 1785, he is shown as owning 8 slaves a nd 300 acres. He later bought 400 acres on Kettle Creek as well as other lands.

    2 June 1786 Fadda Jarratt purchased 400 acres of land in Wilkes County, Georgia


    24 March 1792 Sussex County, Virginia Wills and Records, "The will of Hugh D.
    IVEY" establishes Martha IVEY Jarrett as his daughter, "daughter Martha Jarrett, one Negro woman named Nell." Martha I VEY; Estate of Hugh IVEY: Sussex County Will Book ''E" 1790-1796 p. 179, p 195, p. 232, p234.

    March 1792 ? 1796 ? Death of Martha Ivey
    Fadda gave power of attorney to his son, Nicholas, receive his share of Richard Ivey's estate in Sussex County, VA. Ri chard was Martha Ivey's brother. Nicholas sold his share to John Raines Mason in 1796.
