Farm Manager of Mangere. Newspaper Cutting (undated). The
marriage of Miss Nellie Wright, second daughter of Mr R wright
of Pokeno was celebrated at the residence of the brides
parents, the Rev Mr Griffiths officiating. The bride wore a
very handsome gown of cream lace cloth with veil and orange
blossoms. She carried a pretty bouquet of white azelias and
camelias. The bridesmaid, Miss Maggie Wright, was attired in
white and pale blue. Mr Crowe of Auckland, officiated in the
capacity of best man. After the ceremony, the party adjourned
to the hall where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was spread.
The afternoon and evening were devoted to the usual games,
interspersed with songs and recitations. The compnay dispersed
to their several homes shortly after midnight after having
spent a most enjoyable time. Mr and Mrs Saunders proceeded to
their new home at Mangere on the following day.
