    Carol says: Elizabeth's daughter, Margaret Snoddy McCorkle (who lived into her 90's) documented her family's origins, which John Hale Stutesman wrote into his book on the Snoddy Family. "Samuel Snoddy and Elizabeth Sloane married in Ireland about 1748 and sailed for the colonies of N.A. and settled in North Carolina."

    It is a possibily that Fergus Sloan might be a brother of the Elizabeth Sloane that was married to Samuel Snoddy. They are the same age and lived in the same 4th Creek Congreation area. Elizabeth did name a son Fergus. {f.e.m.}
