  • Note:
    Among the Bullock family notes is a hand-written Bullock family tree (author and date unknown) indicating that there were two George Bullocks. One note appears to say that one of the Georges was Thomas Bullock's brother and died 1866; the other George Bullock is noted as BC's father, with the date 1885, which does not appear to correspond to currently known events. These same notes have Thomas Bullock, died Feb. 22, 1866 as married to Lucy Langmire, died March 30, 1863, and as the parents of George Bullock, married to Frances C. Jenkins, died March 7, 1908 in Bullockville. Could it be that William G. Bullock's middle name is George (not Green) and that it's the name he went by?

    Documents in the possession of William G. Bullock's granddaughter, Ann Gillon, appear to corroborate that William G.'s father name was George and not Thomas, as William was shown to be the executor of George's estate.

    "Bullock By-Lines, A Brief History of Our Bullock Family (1659-1972)" by Ruth Bullock Nisbet of San Angelo, Texas contains a great deal of well-documented information that supports William G. Bullock's parents as being George and Malinda (Green) Bullock.
