He matched other men named Oliver in the "bright yellow group", but thus
far we do not know how they are all related.

Lucille Chessmore's book about him states that he had 2 brothers and a
sister Emily. It is possible that all 3 of them were older and had a
different mother.

potentially living with his sister Emily & her husband Winship Page
during 1840 census in Upson County, Ga. He married in that county later
that year. This sister had a daughter named Augusta.

There was a Rev. McCarthy Oliver or Florence McCarthy Oliver and his
family living in Chambers Co. AL in 1850 also. Some of those Olivers
also moved to Tallapoosa Co. (i.e. Thomas Cotten married to Rachael Lucy
Oliver who is the daughter of Caleb Oliver)..
